I warmly welcome you to St George’s CofE Infant & Nursery School. I am very proud to be part of this vibrant, happy and caring school where children are firmly at the heart of everything we do.

Our Church of England school is a fantastic place to learn, play and work – in beautiful surroundings and at the centre of a supportive coastal town community.

At St George’s we are proud to offer an excellent education for all which is underpinned by our values and ethos. We want our children to grow up to become confident, respectful and responsible citizens. We pride ourselves on making this an inclusive school with a tight-knit, family feel. As staff we are able to really get to know each child, and work to meet their needs to the very best of our ability. We have high expectations for all the children and we value every one of them as a unique part of our community.

The curriculum here is bright, lively and creative.  We believe in giving children a hands-on approach to learning, letting them experiment and experience activities which will inspire them to find out more. 

We aim to foster a lifelong love of learning and believe that our children deserve the very best throughout their learning journey with us. We work in partnership with parents, carers and members of our local communities to achieve that goal.  An important part of our school ethos is to value and develop the partnership we have with parents, as we know that working closely together helps your child to benefit fully from school.
